Generate Knowledge

FFI actively seeks to build and deepen our knowledge base about interventions that break cycles of poverty, trauma and violence and to share our learning with others. This strategy is informed by and supports both our building a network of, and eliminating barriers to, highly-effective interventions.

Community-based organizations and allies in our network help us refine and shape what the Full Frame Approach and Five Domains work is and isn’t, and we then generate shared data to support and evolve community, academic and policy understanding of “what works.” Our conversations with policy makers and funders bring to light what additional information they need in order to justify changing their practices.

FFI is currently engaging in a number of iconic demonstration projects that are designed to help us learn more about the applicability and outcomes of the Full Frame Approach and Five Domains work across populations and service types. The demonstration projects are intended to refine and deepen the methodology for use of the Full Frame Approach and Five Domains by programs. Demonstration project partners gain tools to better align their practice to their desired outcomes, and ways to frame their work for policy makers and funders that better illustrate their successes. For more information, please contact Katya Fels Smith.
