Impact
As an intermediary organization, FFI unlocks the capacity on the ground and creates momentum for more.
We have learned from the pioneering members of our network and have witnessed the tremendous impact of their interventions. Our job is to spread that impact, rippling it out beyond this initial group.
We’re well on our way.
Already, a cohort of organizations and allies is using the network to move through issues (such as evaluation) that in the past had been resource-sinks or roadblocks. By working in networks at the intersection of practice, policy, and research, FFI’s efforts are translating into more people helped better.
FFI’s written work and consultation are being used by network and non-network health and human service organizations, policy makers, researchers, and philanthropic entities, as well as in a growing number of university courses. We field regular inquiries from those who are interested in becoming more involved or who would like to receive technical assistance.
What’s ahead?
During the first half of 2011, we significantly increased our staff and thus our capacity to advance our mission. In 2011-2012 FFI will:
- Enable powerful new collaborations between highly effective organizations, researchers, funders and policy makers to ensure that those people and communities whose challenges are greatest will have access to the greatest interventions.
- Continue to work through national partnerships, leveraging knowledge and influence to create greater social changes than any one organization can ever do alone.
- Launch groundbreaking pilots to demonstrate how FFI’s Five Domains approach leads to better, lasting outcomes for our country’s most marginalized people and families.
- Grow our network of highly effective community-based organizations, which collectively demonstrate that breaking cycles is within our reach.
This is a movement for social change. Please join us.
