We are seeking actors for a video project. Filming to take place in October.
The video will be used to help human service practitioners learn how to apply FFI’s Five Domains of Wellbeing to better support people and communities living at the intersection of poverty, violence and trauma to break cycles. Most immediately, the video will be used by the Missouri Division of Youth Services (DYS) during statewide training sessions for workers in the state’s juvenile justice system.
We are looking to cast:
“Malcolm” (lead)- male, approximately 15-18 years old, biracial
“Shireen” (mom)- female, mid-to-late 30s, white, black or Hispanic
“Shawn” (half-brother)- male, approximately 11 years old, white, black, Hispanic or biracial
“Chris” (counselor)- male or female, 40s-50s, white
“Mr. C” (English teacher)- male, mid-to-late 20s, black
Approximately 5-10 extras (male and female of diverse ages and ethnicity) will also be needed for a party scene.
Filming will take place over approximately 2-3 days (weekend).
These are unpaid roles. FFI will provide transportation reimbursement for those needing it. Meals will be provided on filming days and all volunteers will receive gift cards as a token of our appreciation.
