Want to know more about how focusing on wellbeing can support positive change and outcomes? Join us for a free, full-day training in St. Louis to learn about the Five Domains of Wellbeing framework!
Kids Deserve Wellbeing is a regional effort bringing together community members, service providers, and public systems to place kids’ and families’ wellbeing in the center of our efforts in the greater St. Louis area. Together these partners are working to fundamentally shift the focus from fixing problems to fostering wellbeing—the needs and experiences essential for health and hope—by using the Five Domains of Wellbeing framework. We believe that this can meaningfully interrupt the cycles of poverty and violence endemic to many St. Louis communities and neighborhoods and open the door for greater equity and justice.
The Five Domains of Wellbeing—safety, stability, social connectedness, mastery and meaningful access to relevant resources—is an evidence-informed framework that, when supported by training and coaching, has the power to transform the lives of people and communities and support programs and services to help families achieve long-term, positive outcomes.
We are excited to offer FREE full-day trainings on The Five Domains of Wellbeing!
Training goals include:
- Gain a deeper understanding of the Five Domains of Wellbeing and the concept of tradeoffs, as key elements of orienting around wellbeing.
- Learn to identify how each of us experiences wellbeing and weighs tradeoffs in the Five Domains of Wellbeing, in our own lives.
- Begin to apply new learning and skills to our daily work with kids and families, by identifying assets and challenges in the Five Domains of Wellbeing, minimizing tradeoffs that create barriers to positive change and better understanding how to support or interrupt certain behaviors by understanding the drivers of behavior.
The training is offered multiple days for convenience but the content is the same for each training; there is no need for the same person to attend multiple trainings. There is a registration limit of 25 people per training. Priority will be given to teams of supervisors/managers and frontline practitioners from the same organization; maximum 5 people per organization.
