Operations and Communications Intern
We are in search of a motivated intern to get hands-on experience learning to manage the inner workings of a busy nonprofit. This intern will support the operations and communications teams with materials creation and updating, social media and online presence tracking, database management, day-to-day administrative tasks and general team support. The ideal candidate enjoys having a diverse range of responsibilities, possesses an eye for detail and aesthetics, likes working with numbers, can engage in light research and communicates findings and ideas clearly. A strong and supportive team player personality is a must!
Responsibilities will be wide-ranging and touching many aspects of the organization. These may include:
● Constituent research for updating our CRM database (Salesforce)
● Development of content for the website (WordPress), our newsletter and our social media profiles
● Organization of our digital library of articles and resources and our photo library (Google Drive)
● Cleaning and maintaining mailing lists (Mailchimp)
● Office management tasks (filing, supplies ordering, organizing, vendor research and relations, light cleaning, plant care)
● Proofing, co-creating, co-designing new materials, updating current materials (Adobe Creative Suite)
● Analytics tracking and analysis
This can be a part-time or full-time internship and a stipend is offered.
Internships are based out of our Greenfield, MA office with the opportunity to do some or all of the work remotely. We are experienced and adept at working with a virtual team. However, we understand the irreplaceable value of face-to-face contact.
Our organization and work is of particular interest to, and could benefit from, those studying psychology, public policy, sociology, economics, government, or a related social science field. Strong writing and communication skills are a must for any position, as are excellent organizational and time management skills.
