On March 19-21, FFI attended and presented at the National Conference on Health and Domestic Violence, hosted by Futures Without Violence. Anna Melbin connected with conference attendees at our exhibitor table and presented the findings from our California project and culminating report How Do Survivors Define Success? A New Project to Address an Overlooked Question.
The theme of the exhibitor table, a theme taken from one of the findings in the report, was Success Through Connection, Not Separation, highlighting the importance that survivors of domestic violence place on connection to friends and family. The table featured an interactive activity for visitors to connect the theme to their own lives. We encouraged everyone to take a #ConnectionSelfie with our picture frame and send it to someone they are connected to. It looks like everyone had fun with the frame and meaningful interactions with Anna!
