How effectively is your organization centering community? Use this tool with the Community Bill of Rights to guide conversations around what is or isn't being done to center community in your organization.
As you begin your centering community journey, the Centering Community Assessment helps organizations and communities evaluate and set a baseline for effective community partnership and genuine collaboration. There are two parts to it, the organizational self-assessment and a community member survey. Use this resource in conjunction with the Community Bill of Rights to create internal alignment and it can surface differences. A critical early implementation step is to resolve those differences before involving community so that they are not solved at community’s expense.
This resource was created in partnership with community leaders who coauthored the Community Bill of Rights.
